Poem: My lost love Restless in bed and sleepless through the night I longed for my lover, I wanted him desperately, his absence was painful, I was missing the way his arms go round my body The scent of his body, the rise & fall of chest as he lies beside me, I couldn’t take it anymore, So I got up, went out and roved the city, Hunting the street and down the alley I wanted my lover in the worst ways I looked high and low but I couldn’t find him The night watchman found me as they patrolled the dark city “Have you seen my dear lost love?” I asked No sooner have I left them, I found him I have found my dear lost love! My heart raced with emotions. Feeling elated, ecstatic and extremely overjoyed I threw my arms around him and held him tight, He held me tight, I have missed him madly, I wouldn’t let him go, I have to take him home Home to a warm house, a warm dinner and a warm bed.
