Police Blotter 1/15/14 - 1/16/14 Patrols observed a 30 year old male subject wanted on an Erie County Sheriffs Office warrant standing behind a Central Avenue residence, smoking a cigarette. Patrols took the subject into custody and then transported him to the Holding Center, where he was turned over to Sheriffs deputies. A Lancaster Police school resource officer arrested a 16 year old female for grand larceny in the fourth degree and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree. This was based on an investigation conducted by the S.R.O. and a Lancaster detective regarding property that had recently been stolen from gym lockers at Lancaster High School. Lancaster dispatchers handled 20 requests for emergency medical services. Officers checked out 2 suspicious males on Northwood Drive. A 25 year old female subject was issued a U.T.T. for driving with a suspended registration on Transit Road. Patrol confiscated a license plate and had her vehicle towed. The Village D.P.W. was notified of icy road conditions, per the shift lieutenant. Town, County and State highway departments were already out. Officers completed premise checks on businesses on the following streets: Commerce, Genesee, Transit and Walden. A 30 year old male subject was arrested on Penora Street for criminal mischief in the third degree and unlawful growing of cannabis after officers responded to a report of a domestic dispute. Patrols conducted traffic details on the following roads: Central, Como Park, Transit and Walden. Officers responded to 2 motor vehicle accidents.
