Police Continue to Investigate Robbery at Webster Five Cent Savings Bank On Friday, April 25, 2014 at approximately 6:00 PM Worcester police responded to the area of 266 Chandler Street for a report of a bank robbery at the Webster Five Cent Savings Bank. During the investigation, police learned that a male suspect entered the bank and passed a threatening note to the teller. The suspect made off with an undisclosed amount of cash. As the suspect was leaving the building a customer ran after him. The suspect was chased to the Big Y parking lot entrance. The suspect fled the area in a white Nissan. The suspect entered the passenger side of the vehicle and the driver traveled toward May Street. The suspect is described a Hispanic male, in his 20s, about 5’5” tall and thin build. There were no reported injuries. The investigation is ongoing.
