Police Investigate Home Invasion on Ellsworth Street On Tuesday, May 6, 2014, at approximately 6:45 PM Worcester police responded to an apartment on Ellsworth Street for a report of a Home Invasion. Upon arrival, officers spoke with two tenants of the apartment. During the investigation, officers learned that two male victims answered the door for four males who were looking for a person unknown to the tenants. The four males left the residence after being told that the person they were looking for did not live there. About fifteen minutes later, the four males returned to the apartment and forced their way into the dwelling. Two of the males were holding handguns. One of the victims was pistol whipped. Both victims were tied up by their hands. The men rummaged through the apartment and robbed the victims of their cell phones and cash. Two other tenants were not home during the home invasion. The Crime Scene Unit and Detective Bureau were called to the scene. Officers photographed the scene and collected evidence. Police took statements from witnesses in the area. The four suspects are described as Hispanic males, possibly late teens to early 20’s. One suspect was described as tall and thin and the other suspects were shorter around 5’4” to 5’7”. All were wearing dark clothing. One suspect covered his face with a bandana. The investigation is ongoing.
