Police are appealing for information after two men were hit by a car in Willenhall last night (Friday 31 October) leaving one in a critical condition. The collision occurred at 00.30am in Union Street outside the Workers Rest pub. The two men were struck by a silver E Class Mercedes registration YG64 VZK which police have not yet recovered. A 41-year-old man is critical in hospital with serious head and neck injuries and a 25-year-old man suffered minor cuts and bruises. A 27-year-old Wolverhampton man was arrested on suspicion of attempt murder and remains in custody. Detective Inspector Phil Asquith, from force CID, said: “We are investigating the circumstances that led up to this collision and we are anxious to trace the Mercedes as part of our enquiries.” Anyone with information is asked to contact Wolverhampton Police on 101 or the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
