Police are appealing for information to locate a man missing in Sydney’s north. The 40-year-old man was last seen about 5.10pm today (Saturday 3 August 2013) at a marina in Akuna Bay, which is located within the Ku-Ring-Gai National Park. The man, who has autism and struggles with verbal communication, was at the marina with his carer. He disappeared after using a public toilet. Police from Northern Beaches Local Area Command have conducted searches of the area, but have been unable to locate the missing man. Officers are appealing to the public for information about his whereabouts. They believe there is a possibility someone travelling in or out of the national park may have picked him up. The man is described as being about 183cm tall, with a slim build, and short, greying hair. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a blue hooded jacket, and white runners. Anyone who may have seen the man or has information about his current whereabouts is urged to contact Dee Why Police on (02) 9971 3399 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
