Police are appealing for public assistance after a man allegedly committed an act of indecency towards three 15-year-old girls at Homebush yesterday. About 3.20pm yesterday (Tuesday 14 October 2014), the girls were walking south along Homebush Road towards Homebush Railway Station when they saw the man sitting on a brick fence outside units. Police have been told that when the girls walked past the man, his pants were unbuttoned. He then committed an act of indecency towards them. The girls later reported the incident to a teacher at their school who then reported the matter to police. Officers attached to Flemington Local Area Command conducted extensive patrols, however, the man wasn’t located. Flemington police have launched an investigation into the incident, and would like to speak to a man who may be able to assist with their inquiries. He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged in his late 50s to early 60s, about 170cm tall with a large build, grey hair and wore thin black framed reading glasses. At the time he was also wearing a blue baseball cap with a red brim, a red jumper and dark coloured denim jeans. Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or use the Crime Stoppers online reporting page: https://nsw.crimestoppers.au/ Information you provide will be treated in the strictest of confidence.
