Police are conducting investigations after shots were fired into a house at Brighton-Le-Sands overnight. About 8am today (Wednesday 30 April 2014), the occupants of a house on Rowley Street discovered damaged to the outside of the premises. Police from St George Local Area Command were called to the house and established a crime scene which will be examined by forensic officers. During a cursory search of the house police discovered three bullet holes to the front windows of the premises. Officers attached to Operation Talon have been notified and are assisting with the investigation. It is believed the shooting occurred about 10:15pm last night (Tuesday 29 April 2014), however, the occupants were not injured during the incident. Police are also investigating whether the matter is linked to shootings at Revesby and Bexley North last night and urge anyone with information about either incident to come forward. Operation Talon was formed in August 2013 to combat public place shootings in Sydney. Anyone with information that may help reduce gun crime in Sydney should contact Operation Talon by calling 1800 802 980 or texting 0448 990 101. Information can also be provided to Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or via the Crime Stoppers online reporting page: https://www1.police.nsw.gov.au/. Information can be provided anonymously.
