Police foiled Mukhtar Waza’s two days Chenab valley visit, detained at Qazigund People urged to offer special prayers for martyr Sheikh Abdul Aziz on Friday SRINAGAR, August 01, 2013: Jammu and Kashmir People’s League Chairman, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza along party activists was today detained at Qazigund by police and was lodged in Police station Qazigund, when he was on way to Chenab valley. Party Spokesman, Imtiyaz Ahmad Reshi castigated police for lashing state terrorism and curbing the movement of peaceful Hurriyat leadership including Party Chairman Mukhtar Ahmad Waza. He said that Waza Shab was scheduled to visit, Gool Ramban were Indian armed forces killed peaceful protesters earlier in this month, who were protesting peacefully against the desecration of holy Quran. “Waza shab was also scheduled visit the areas of Doda and Kishtwar districts were Village defence committee members under the cover of Indian armed forces have lashed a reign of terror by Killing some innocent persons, abducting and raping of girls” Spokesman said He said that party chairman Mukhtar Ahmad Waza was also scheduled to meet civil society members of ChenabValley with regard to resolution of Kashmir issue. He was also scheduled to brief the civil society about the planning of some vested interests to divide the state, which is unacceptable. Party Spokesman, said that India and its agencies has virtually and evidently accepted the defeat as they continue to curb the movement of peaceful political leaders. He said thatvisiting families of those who fell bullets of BSF troops is part of religious affairs and interfering in religious matters is intolerable. He said that pro-freedom leadership is not being allowed to offer prayers that too in this holy month of Ramdan. Reshi said that curbing movement of pro-freedom leadership is part of Indian conspiray to keep people unaware about the leadership. He appealed international human rights groups, religious organization including OIC to pressurize India in brining a halt on human rights violations and allow people and leadership to fallow religion without any hindrance. Meanwhile, party spokesman informed that on Friday, people have been urged all over the state to offer special prayers for Shaheed-e-Azimeet Sheikh Abdul Aziz who was martyred by Indian armed forces on 11 of August in 2008 at Boniyar Uri. He said that on 11 of August this yearparty leadership and activists will visit the martyrs graveyard in Srinagar and on 13th of August a seminar will be organized in APHC headquarters at Srinagar under the chairmanship of Mirvaz Molvi Umar Farooq.
