Police investigate two burglaries WARREN - Police are investigating two burglaries Wednesday on the citys northwest side. Officers responded to a call at about 10 a.m. after a woman told police a man she knows entered her home on Peace Avenue N.W., punched her and took several items from her purse. Mathew S. Burroughs, 30, 53 Royal Mall Drive, was charged with one felony count of aggravated burglary. Police said that victim left her back door ajar while taking out the garbage, and when she returned Burroughs was inside waiting for her. About 1:45 p.m., police were called to a home on Maryland Street N.W. where a witness said two males took a video game console, a television and jewelry, and ran out the back door. The back door was also damaged. No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing in that case.
