Police officer thrashes youth at Abikarpora Dalgate in Srinagar: Srinagar, June 21: 29 year old Reyaz Ahmed Shangloo was thrashed by a Police Party of Khanyar Police Station for parking his van (JK01M-7515) near a shop at Abikarpora Dalgate area of Srinagar. Reyaz had parked his van at a proper place in Abikarpora Dalgate. “I saw few policemen trying to deflate the tyres of my van. When I stopped them they hit my van with canes and caused damage to it. My only utterance that ‘you are violating the law’, infuriated the Sub-Inspector and his men and they all pounced on me. They thrashed me in full public glare.
