Police used a guise in order to get information on a protest being planned by some Utah veterans. An officer pretending to be interested in taking part called an organizer and started asking questions. The vets are upset over changes to a sweat lodge run by a local VA hospital. The hospital was concerned that massive amounts of people were going to show up and dismantle the lodge, though perhaps fewer than 10 people came, acting peacefully. Now, the vets are scratching their heads, saying the authorities could have simply asked what they were planning. Reporter Nate Carlisle has the full story. What do you think of this police tactic? Should they have used this ruse, or just asked the vets directly? sltrib/sltrib/news/57892132-78/lodge-sweat-center-medical.html.csp
