PolicyMic just shouted out our campaign to end Saturday Night - TopicsExpress

PolicyMic just shouted out our campaign to end Saturday Night Lives exclusion of Black women in its list of 23 Inspiring Feminist Digital Campaigns that Changed the World. Says writer Elizabeth Plank: The show ended up hiring Sasheer Zamata, their first female of color since Maya Rudolph left in 2007. The show also announced it had hired two black female writers.... ColorofChanges work was pivotal in making this happen. The group was the first to write an open-letter to Lorne Michaels and meet with NBC to help the network diversify. Congratulations again to these talented women on seizing this amazing opportunity - we hope their success leads to more authentic and varied portrayals of Black women on #SNL and beyond.
