Poor old Margo! She is having a bad time. She has been very lethargic and unwilling to eat anything at all, although she is drinking which is a good thing. However today (day three ) she leapt on a worm I found for her and also had a grape or two. She has spent most of the day dozing in the sun (sometimes guarded by either Lucy or Betty) and has done a little preening and wandered around with the others. GROSS ALERT! Earlier today I found two empty egg sacs with no shell just membrane and I am thinking this could be Margo. They normally get enough calcium through the layers pellets and grit in the garden but I decided to feed them some egg shell (cleaned, dried and crushed) and they LEAPT on it! Somehow animals often know exactly what it is they need. Hopefully Margo will have an even better day tomorrow.
