Pope Francis has arrived in the Philippines today to rally - TopicsExpress

Pope Francis has arrived in the Philippines today to rally millions of faithful in the country and offer comfort to the victims of typhoon Haiyan. I can’t help but to look back and give praises to God for He has given me the opportunity to witness Apostolic Journeys of His Holiness and now Saint John Paul II in 1981 and in 1995 when I was called to serve and perform at the World Youth Day in Manila. I was a Pre-Postulant with Daughters of St. Paul at that time. God has stirred my wheel in a different path and I had to leave the congregation. Fast forward in 2010, after 15 years, I’ve met Sister Alice of Daughters of St. Paul when she was interviewed by my executive producer, Veronica Leighton at CPRTV. I was humbled to be called to perform at the Ven+ID Macrofestival, one of the big events at the 2011 World Youth Day in Madrid Spain. This time, I brought my first born Alric and joined the tens of thousands from all over the world who respond to the invitation of His Holiness, the Pope Benedict XVI to gather in Madrid in prayer for peace and reconciliation. It was a wonderful pilgrimage. Earlier today (4am Chicago time), watching His Holiness, Pope Francis’ arrival in the Philippines thru the live streaming, I felt an overwhelming and indescribable feeling. Thank you Pope Francis for coming to the Philippines. May the Almighty God continue to shower you abundant blessings of good health and keep you under His protection on your journey and all your apostolic visits. May your presence touch the hearts of many, give hope in times of uncertainties, shed light and opportunity to renew the faith of those who are in the realm of darkness. VIVA IL PAPA! MABUHAY ANG SANTO PAPA! #PopeFrancis #PopeInPH #PopeTYSM
