Position Description – President The president of the club: • Runs the committee meetings along with the secretary • Delegates different jobs for other committee members to complete • Follows up on the delegated roles • Has voting rights for any issues that comes up in meetings Position Description – Secretary The role of the secretary is to: • Prepare the agenda for committee meetings • Arrange committee meetings including: venue, time, day • Let everyone on the committee know about the meeting • Write up minutes at the conclusion of the meeting and send them out to committee members • Call for and receive nominations for committees and other positions for the annual general meeting • Manage emails and pass them onto relevant people Position Description – Treasurer • Keep up to date records of money coming in and going out of the club • Write cheques • Follow up to ensure that people that BUUF owes money to are paid • Construct monthly reports using excel program and produce them for the committee meetings. • Maintain connection with Bendigo Bank • Send out invoices to various companies • Handle any money at BUUF events Position Description – Uniform organiser • Organise design of uniforms for the year • Organise the ordering of uniforms throughout the year with whatever company going though • Get orders from people • Organise design and ordering of merchandise if any planned Position Description - Social and physical development officer • NOTE: it is important that the social and physical development officer delegates jobs to other people e.g. buddying up new comers with more experienced players, etc. • The first point of call for introducing new comers to the sport and making them feel welcome • Help out with ideas for how to get new people into Frisbee • Make sure new comers know what is going on • Organise social events so people start to bond outside of training Position Description – General Manager • The general manager is a new role that was brought in at the start of this committee. It is the primary contact between the committee and the University. Our university contacts include Andrew as well as a number of other staff that are involved with university sport. It also includes staff in charge of hiring out the university oval. • The general manager is also the first option for managing university games teams. • This year they will also be in charge of communicating with Ballarat Ultimate and working out ways that we can help them while they help us out and develop a closer relationship between the clubs Position Description - Fundraising liaison • This person is required to be inventive and creative when it comes to thinking up ideas for raising money for BUUF. This includes Orientation week (beginning of both semesters) and food stalls throughout the term at University and then also possibly some inner-club fundraisers. One isnt necessarily required to be in charge of every event nor run it all by themselves, but yet to work alongside the team manager and president to organise the details, and spread the word with all other BUUF members.
