Position: NGO Programme Coordinator Location: Gauteng, Right to Care offices in Centurion Reporting to: Grants Manager The incumbent will be responsible to coordinate RTC support to its sub-recipients partners in order to meet the expected contractual obligations. Qualifications & Experience • Tertiary qualification (degree) health related field or five years of relevant experience • Post graduate qualification in health related field • Health management course • Project management certificate • Strong knowledge of HIV/AIDS • Good knowledge of HIV/AIDS and the SA HIV/AIDS/TB scenario and the NGO sector • 3 years’ experience in a health or related field • Computer literacy, including all MS office programmes Technical & Behavioural Competencies Required: • Management of HIV projects or clinic • 2-3 years HIV programme management experience • Ability to liaise with different stakeholders • Flexibility to travel extensively within South Africa • Ability to work under pressure and multi-task where required • Ability to work both independently and in a team context Key Performance Areas among others include: Understanding current programmes and the desired outcomes • Understanding current programmes and the desired outcomes • Familiarize oneself with the technical documents related to the programme • Reporting on the progress of the programme to the manager and stakeholders • Coordinating with the stakeholders and partners to develop and monitor progress on new programme designs • Conduct continuous reviews on programme implementation progress of programmes implemented by the RTC sub-recipient partners • Assist in identifying other stakeholders that RTC can partner with to support the programmes implemented by RTC. • Coordinate/Assist in support to sub-recipient partners in drafting annual workplans ensuring alignment with RTC annual plans • Assist in Pre-award assessments and close out procedures of sub-recipient partner programmes • Assist in facilitating partnership between sub-recipient partners, DOH, and other relevant government departments • Collect and review of partners reports • Coordinate/Assist in the analysis and dissemination of programme outputs, outcomes, impacts according to the organisation-wide and USAID reporting requirements by: • Coordinate/Assist in conducting and submitting the annual/bi-annual programme assessments for all sub-recipient partner programmes in programme areas supported by RTC • Ensure that quarterly PEPFAR reports are submitted as per PEPFAR deadline by the M&E department • Ensure that there is regular feedback on data submissions and that data gaps are addressed timeously and appropriately by the M&E department • Identify stakeholders considered strategic to the RTC HMIP • Network with the relevant government ministries and departments in support of funded programmes and projects • Participate in key working groups in strategic support to relevant stakeholders • Support the periodic strategic evaluation of the RTC’s relationship with the stakeholders • Support RTC’s relationship with different stakeholders in relation to funded programmes and projects • Take responsibility for own professional growth and development • Obtain guidance from relevant managers in case of uncertainty about reporting requirements or other issues • Attend minimum of one relevant training semi-annually, if feasible • Attend compulsory training courses(in-house and external) to maintain and increase professional knowledge and skills • Identify and attend further trainings, as relevant to the job, to maintain and increase professional knowledge and skills • Any other relevant and reasonable tasks which may be required from time to time As and when required.
