Salary or Wage: $26.35 Open: Close: Position Description: Responsibilities: . • Regularly inspect refrigeration, heating and ventilating equipment for defects and improper operation and make necessary adjustments or repairs. • Will inspect, repair, replace, install, adjust and maintain all types of refrigeration, heating and ventilating equipment in plant. • Arrange for assistance from other working crews such as Mechanics and Electricians as required. • Make arrangements for scheduled repairs for transportation of equipment. • Advise Supervisor when material and supplies are required. • Makes reports and maintains records as required. • Work in shop or field as required. • Perform sheet metal work as required in connection with air conditioning equipment. • Interpret blueprints; make sketches and calculations as required. • Receive instructions covering the scheduled and emergency repairs, installation and inspection work to be done. • Make tests to determine efficiency of equipment and adjusts for proper operating characteristics. • Diagnose trouble using testing equipment and own judgment based on a general knowledge of refrigeration, heating and ventilating principles Qualifications include: • Must have HVAC License • Must have minimum 2 years related work experience in heavy industry (not automotive) • Some exposure to SAP in previous employment preferred with strong computer skills • Must be able to work independently with attention to detail. • Troubleshoot and able to install, maintain and service air condition, refrigeration and heating systems • Must be good with heights and smaller, confined spaces.
