Post 3 The roots of the conflict can be traced to the 19th century with the rise of the nationalist movement, including zionism and arab nationalism, though the jewish aspiration to return to zion had been part of jewish religious thought for more than a millennium, the Jewish population of europe and to some digree the middle east began to more activly discuss immigration back to the land of isreal, and a re-astablishment of the jewish nation, only during the 1859 to 1880s ,largly to the widespread persecution of the jews due to antisemitism in Russia and Europe. As a result the zionist movment the modern creation for a homeland for the jewish people was established as a political movment in 1897. I will go into more detail about the zionism in my next post.
