Post # 80: A firy twist youtube/watch?v=sj7YWGonqVg Jarin The lesser imps and the large one that summoned them all run in after him to catch him before he can get away. Activating the exploding arrow and tossing it toward the oncoming group he fires his grapple arrow and swings out of the way as the explosion consumes the smaller imps and sends bits of the other tied on arrows flying in all direction burying the shrapnel deep in the larger imps flesh. It screams and chases after Jarin but finally drops to the ground dead. A piece of shrapnel had found its way into his heart and dropped the massive creature immediately. Jarin finds himself near by Argoth and Ren when he lands. Nyna and Elkon Elkon continues to keep the large beast distracted while Nyna works her way around the beast ripping at vital areas. She cuts its achillies tendon dropping it to its knees and then the panther jumps and latches on to the imps jugular ripping and thrashing about until finally she falls to the ground with a large mouthful of imp. The beast flails about giving Elkon the opening he needs to finish the job. Running in fast he takes his keen blades and separates the head from its body dropping the large imp. Ashari, Balfor, Ladon, Malekith, and Argoth Ashari sends his bots out and unleashes the Draconic as well. The bots cant do much against the fire spirits but run after the smaller imps that are newly summoned and running in. The Draconic though opens his mouth and lets his breath blast forth at the fire elements. They soon disapate wherever its breath reaches. Ladon and Balfor both retreat to Minerva;s circle to restore their strength with the added support from Malekith and Ashari. Malekith douses a few smaller elementals with the water blasts, but soon the elementals change their tactic and converge in one place forming a much larger elemental. Running through the water blasts and kicking the draconic away the large elemental attacks Argoth. The air shield placed by Malekith wixes with the purple fire of the evil elemental causing it to grow even larger until it is a full blown fire storm. It is fastened to the air shield though and luckily for Argoth the shield is protecting him on the inside only allowing him to feel a fraction the heat genearated by the elemental. The cloak with its deep hood glows a little and activates to protect him from the intense heat allowing him to focus on finding a proper summon to fight the defiler. Ren and Auren Ren runs to help Auren seeing that Ashari and Malekith were there to help Argoth. With each step he lets out a blast of white fire at the Defiler while Auren runs in with his sword shining white hot full of every ounce of holy magic he could muster. Auren is able to make a few deep gashes in the defilers legs but soon finds himself thrown back fifty feet into Ren from a heavy swing of the defilers sword. Neither are mortally wounded but are dropped and sore from the impact. Both would do well getting back to Minerva as quickly as possible. While this happens they are surprised by the enormous conflagration behind them and get up quickly being pinned between both monsters and run out to the left flank. Minerva Minerva has quite a bit on her plate as she begins the work of healing Balor and Ladon. While working in them she sees the attack from the defiler hit Auren and then Auren hit Ren and knows she will be working on them soon. The fire of the Elemental also flares up and the heat is unbelieveable. She knows her skin is being burnned as she continues to work on the two simultanieously. Everyone As the Elemental grows it lashes out and kills the rest of the imps that havent already run off. The defiler can be heard in the back laughing as the Elemental begins its attack on the party. fireballs and jets of flame spurt from its body in all directions at the members of the group. All the while Argoth digs into his book and has begun a chant barely audible amid the din.
