Post Doctoral Research Fellow Monash University, Melbourne Australia The representation of tropical convection in climate models remains one of the most critical outstanding issues to make progress in many areas of climate science. The School of Earth, Atmosphere and Environment is seeking a dedicated Research Fellow to carry out research in this important area. As the successful candidate, you will use a combination of observational and modelling approaches to improve the representation of tropical convection in the United Kingdom Meteorological Office global atmospheric model, which forms part of the Australian Community Climate and Earth System Simulator (ACCESS).
