Post Game Notes. Buena dodged a bullet against Nogales. They will need to play a better game to beat Sunnyside. Sloppy play by Buena almost cost them. Sunnyside lost to Sahuaro 37-10. Sunnyside has no effective passing game and runs between the tackles. Sahuaro had open receivers all night as the Sunnyside secondary gave lots of space to Sahuaro receivers. The Sunnyside defense plays the run pretty well and aggressively attack the ball. Their middle linebacker is pretty good. If Buena doesnt hold their ground and attack the run they will need to score a bunch of points again. There will be only one change in the top 5 Division 2 power rankings as Mesquite #6 defeated Marcos de Niza #5. Mountain View (Marana) #13 upset Tucson High #9. Mountain View demonstrated the power of having a good defense (toghness) and simply over powered Tucson High. Betty H. Fairfax #13 lost to Westview #24. This will move around the bottom end of the power rankings. Buena needs at least a 15 seed in the power rankings to get a playoff game. Nothing that happens this week will get Buena into the top 15 without a win next week. Sunnyside is a must win game.
