Post Op meetings on Tuesday, January 20, with Surgeon, Alastair Thompson, and Oncologist, Carlos Barcenas, was excellent! Thompson reported a 100% removal is the tumor, which was only 1/3 of its original size. All healing nicely. Barcenas report very good as well. Pathology report revealed a 7% estrogen receptor; originally it was 0% - hence the original diagnosis of triple negative. The 7% is considered a low positive (scale is 1% - 10%). At this point, the unexpected estrogen indicator is just something to watch. Barcenas will address this issue after radiation, the initial consultation for which is Feb 3. Four weeks every day except Sat/Sun. No traveling yet! For now, ALL CLEAR! Simply resting & healing. A million thank yous for all prayers and well wishes.
