Posted on my Personal Facebook Amy Ryan Irlen Support Group Channel Islands Britain My eldest son Joseph has had a letter from his secondary school saying that due to his exceptionally high cat score(Involving tests, including verbal reasoning-puzzling with words)They want to put him through for a Mensa IQ TEST. This is a child who a year ago cried after an 11+ (which was his choice to take)because he could not do the verbal reasoning side of it and therefore didnt think he would meet the mark to get in. He only got glasses after the test. He is doing fabulous at his new comprehensive school, but this really literates the unfairness and discrimination against children with dyslexia or Irlens in grammar school testing and the need for Irlens testing, awareness and funding.
