Posted this in a fabulous Group on here that Im now part of but thought Id share it here too :-) Id like to share what an amazingly simple and happy day I had yesterday ... Been a long time since I felt like that! I had my now traditional Christmas brekkie of scrambled eggs on toast with smoked salmon, didnt make it to church as felt way too miserable and tearful, got Paul to open his prezzies which I love and then we loaded the kayak onto one of the utes, took Missy, a ball, a ball launcher and the U-Bute (portable grill) and headed off to two beaches and a park! Paul tried out his kayak for the first time while Missy and I had a great time playing ball on the beach. There was a beautiful cool breeze so I didnt have to struggle to cope with heat. Just as we were leaving the first beach I spotted a No Dogs sign! Oops! What a wasted photo op ;-) Next beach we had planned to have our Banjos but it was too windy so after a few more ball throws we headed off to find a park with some lush green grass for Missy to enjoy. Paul cooked up the bacon and eggs and a new Christmas dinner tradition was born! Id been sitting on a bench in the shade while Paul was cooking but then ventured out into the sun to see what Missy had discovered and that was the first time during our outing that I felt ill. I really should get out more! When we got home Paul went in our bar to watch Foxtel and Missy and I watched Christmas with Holly. Tea consisted of lasagne that a friend had dropped off a couple of days previously and veggie bake from the freezer. Awesome day :-D
