Posting for group input: I am in need of sound advice: For over a year and a halve our son has been shuttling cross state lines every single month, I have odd months, dad has even months. My son is a child with special needs. Since the going back and forth he has attended 2 different school in 2 states. On the divorce decree judge ruled that once child was of kindergarten age that a ruling would be made as to where the child will reside, this is where my concerns come in though it is stipulated on the decree about a decision being made once he was to enter kindergarten, I am now being informed by counsel that Judges have found that Kindergarten is not essential school time. How in the world would anyone think that this is okay. Though my heart is heavy I am trying to keep my eyes focused on what I know is true and best for my son. While he is with me he receives therapies that doctors have referred him to, while he is with dad he is not due to him being oblivious to our sons diagnosis. Please if anyone could provide me solid evidence that a child needs continuity and stability in their lives ... I will not subject my son to be a victim of society, he is not a number, He is a child! I am in tears.
