Posting this mans testimony doesnt make me a racists. This doesnt mean that I am sharing my opinion with you or wish to get into an argument with you about recent events. It does, however, say that I am thinking about our country, our society, our children, my community, my family, my friends, my daughter and her friends. Sometimes its important to set aside your personal experiences, biases, pre-judgements, opinions, or even what you perceive and come to the table with an open mind and heart and just listen to people because we all have to share this planet and we all have to learn to get along and we all have a right to share in our fears, our concerns, our philosophies, our experiences, and ideas...this is how learning and growing and change occurs. Not by shutting people out, blocking them, arguing with them, insulting them, or being angry with them. That solves absolutely nothing. And whats left after that is the same old rhetoric, the same old issues, and a history of divided people, filled with hatred, who just keep hurting each other as that history is destined to repeat itself over and over and over again. United we stand or divided we will fall.
