Power Outage continues to impact Tinker AFB The power outage - TopicsExpress

Power Outage continues to impact Tinker AFB The power outage that impacted Tinker Air Force Base early Tuesday Morning continues to affect buildings on base. Due to the latest conditions surrounding the power outages in 3001, 3018, 3113, 3102, 3105, 3117, 3118, 3123 which prevent safe operations from continuing, early dismissal was authorized at noon for these buildings only, in accordance with AFI 36-815, Chapter 7 Administrative Dismissal, for affected employees on day shift. Off base personnel needing to conduct business with individuals in the impacted area should call their on-base points-of-contact to verify if they were affected. For employees who reported to duty on Tuesday, their supervisors must evaluate alternative work sites. If it is determined there are no viable alternatives, then employees may be granted administrative/early dismissal. Teleworking is considered an alternative work site. Employees must have a signed agreement on file to utilize this option. If employees choose not to telework and have a signed agreement on file, then employees must request to take leave. Employees who have previous leave requests granted by their supervisors and who did not report to duty, remain in a leave status. In addition, administrative dismissal for employees on swing and mid-shift is authorized. Supervisors should make every effort to contact employees and advise them of reporting status and where to report if applicable. Employees must understand administrative dismissal only applies to Tuesday, 27 May, and they must check with their supervisors for updates. Further guidance will be presented as events occur. Employees are advised to look at the Tinker Homepage and Facebook for current information. We are anticipating a decision the day shift for 28 May no later than 0330.
