Power of Commitment 1 Chron 29:17 I know, my God, that you examine our hearts and rejoice when you find integrity there. You know I have done all this with good motives, and I have watched your people offer their gifts willingly and joyously. NLT The People of Israel explored the power of commitment while under the rule of King David. They decided to build a temple to honor God. Their gifts and offerings in I Chronicles 29: 1-9 are an indication of the precious worth of their God to them. Their commitment to God superseded any other motives. The purpose of their mission was to honor God. God didn’t need a dwelling place of such great opulence but the commitment of His People is what the Lord sought after and found in this gathering. In their hearts was pure love for their God and they would give their all to accomplish this act of worship! The temple was completed under the reign of David’s son, King Solomon. What projects are you working on today? Is God your foundation? He packed you with the potential and power of completion for such things! Unity with others honors God. Commitment is an admirable act. But the foundation is critical! Survey the life you are building today! Make sure that it passes inspection and life will be limitless for you! Make the Lord your foundation and experience the true power of commitment!
