Prairie Pride Coalition is teaming with ISU Pride to provide bus transportation to the Oct. 22 March on Springfield for Marriage Equality! We are offering the opportunity to students (ISU, IWU, HCC, Lincoln), faculty/staff, and community members who would like to join us in this historic fight for marriage equality in Illinois! Exact details are being ironed out, but our plan is for a bus or buses to leave Bloomington/Normal at 11 a.m. and return no later than approximately 5:30 p.m. We will have pickups both on-campus and off-campus (more details on that soon). We are asking for a suggested donation of $5 per rider but anyone is welcome regardless of ability to pay. We also are in the process of arranging donated box lunches for us to eat on the way to Springfield. In order to make sure we have sufficient space on the bus for everyone we are asking that everyone who wants to go with us RSVP at [email protected] no later than Friday, Oct. 11. We want to provide a seat for everyone who wants to ride, but seats are available on a first come, first served basis. Please consider "being on the bus" as we converge on Springfield Oct. 22 to help demonstrate the overwhelming support in our state for marriage equality!
