Praise for Adam J. Whitlatchs upcoming novelization of War of the Worlds: Goliath from the director, Joe Pearson: One of the unexpected joys of getting the fantastic opportunity to create, produce and direct War of the Worlds: Goliath was working with Adam Whitlatch and the team at KHP on the upcoming novelization of the movie. Ive just finished reading the 274 page (65,000 word) second draft of the novelization and man, it made my day! Adams first draft was great, pulpy, visceral and full of information and backstory that didnt/couldnt fit into the movie. I loaded him up with a lot of new info and Adam stepped up to that and trumped it with even more Whitlatch original expansion on story and character on the second draft. Its clearly a real labor of love. He has crafted a novelization that goes way beyond the normal, somewhat perfunctory retelling of the source movie that is often the case in most film novelizations. Adams War of the Worlds: Goliath novelization stands on its own as a ripping good story and epic tale of the alternate history world of the film. If you liked the movie, but wanted more backstory on the large cast of characters and their world, then you will want to read this book. More Roosevelt. More Tesla, More Sakai and more of our core team and family. And hell, its even got some Martian POV chapters in it. Look for it to be in on-line release very, very soon. khpbooks/war-of-the-worlds-goliath/
