Praise...on Purpose! Sunday, March 16, 2014 Thank you Lord that you make life a Great Adventure, not a monotonous drudgery. I know that You want me to experience the life You bought for me, burying my old life forever. I dont step into that reality nearly deeply enough, Lord, and so You just wait, hoping for the next time I will let go and open up to You on that level. Let me finally be liberated to jump in with abandon; unashamed and unrestrained in the joy of being Yours, Jesus. Help me to live Your extravagantly alive resurrection life, unencumbered by what others think, and unafraid to walk through the doors You open for me. I want to live in the powerful freedom of God. Thats what baptism into the life of Jesus means. When we are lowered into the water, it is like the burial of Jesus; when we are raised up out of the water, it is like the resurrection of Jesus. Each of us is raised into a light-filled world by our Father so that we can see where were going in our new grace-sovereign country. When Jesus died, he took sin down with him, but alive he brings God down to us. Throw yourselves wholeheartedly and full-time--remember, youve been raised from the dead--into Gods way of doing things. Youre living in the freedom of God.
