Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: May they prosper who love you. Psalm 122:6. Each day I try to share an encouraging word that will spark faith in your life. Today I feel compelled to call you to prayer for Israel and America. We may be seeing biblical prophecy being played out right now in the Middle East with the war that is going on in Israel. What amazes me is the response of hatred toward the Jews around the world which is just a repetition of history. More importantly is the response that is coming from our President and Secretary of State. Never in the history of America has an American president been so unwilling to support Israel, and even has been negative toward them. The reason is obvious but that is for another day. What I want to challenge you today with is to do what this verse says, along with praying that God will have mercy on America if our leaders continue to violate Gods command with regards to Israel. This is not just a political matter, it is a spiritual one. If we do not support Israel as a nation we put ourselves in the crosshairs of judgement from God. Oh, I know that sounds a little alarmist, and it is. It is time to sound the spiritual alarm and wake up the real Christians in America to pray for not only Israel but for us. History reveals that every time an American administration has put pressure on Israel to do something they dont want to do there has been some type of disaster hit America. God does not play games when it comes to Israel, and neither should we. Please pray for the peace of Jerusalem and pray for God to have mercy on us in spite of the actions of our national leaders.
