Prayer Of The Day Wednesday, November 05, 2014 Whoever does not carry his own cross and come after me cannot be my disciple….In the same way, every one of you who does not renounce all his possessions cannot be my disciple. Lk 14 Lord, the world we live in has so many attractions. There are so many sources of comfort, pleasure, entertainment that can distract us and keep us from becoming the disciples you want us to be. You want us to be people who imitate your self-emptying and generosity for others. We need to be willing to give up so much comfort and to renounce so much to imitate you. Help me to be aware of others and of the common good so that all may benefit from your creation. Amen.
