Prayer for Today........ Merciful Father, today we are considering our whole duty; to fear You and keep Your commandments, and as we look at our lives we can see how we have fallen short. Help us to understand that we are called to holiness – to walk in humility before You. We want our needs and meditation to be acceptable in Your sight so we are asking for the strength to put in practice the wise counsel from Your word, so that our mortal lives will be worth living. May we choose to be unpopular, mocked, scorned, marginalized and even persecuted if that is what it takes, for we have the assurance that You greatly reward faithfulness to Your will with a crown of glory and a home in heaven. Thank You for every ray of divine light that shines on our pathway. May we walk believing that Your law is made to protect us from evil for it is holy, and just and good. Continue to bless the Hymn of the Day family. Continue to be our Provider and Sustainer – the Answer to all our questions.
