Prayer is not merely our asking GOD for something we need or want - TopicsExpress

Prayer is not merely our asking GOD for something we need or want [nor is it merely thanking HIM for something HE has done for us]. First and foremost, prayer should be a communication process with our HEAVENLY FATHER where we share truth. How we spent these times with GOD will determine how HE communicates with and responds to us. When we pray we must do so with a clean heart that is free of any animosity to any of HIS children. If we feel anger towards someone, we will be unable to pray as we should for them to turn to GOD for HIS solution to their problems. If we have a spirit of forgiveness in our prayer time. GOD can forgive our sins as well. “Whenever you stand up to pray, you must forgive what other have done to you. Then your FATHER in heaven will forgive your sins.” -- [Mark 11:25] Today as I pray for myself, my family and friends, strangers I may never meet, and our leaders [in churches, our workplaces, the government, and in society]; I will ask GOD to help us forgive anyone who may have hurt us [in some way] so that there will be no interference in our communication through prayer with HiIM.
