Prayers for Derek Here is an update that was posted not long ago for Derek. OK guys- Derek is at St. Jude right now. Today, from what I understand, they will meet with the anesthesiologist to clear him for the meds. He will also meet with the Child Life Advisor to begin the process of explaining to Derek what is going on. He will go through physical therapy where I know will be his favorite part. They will have him do things like challenge him to throw a ball. What Vincent doesnt like a challenge? He will also see the speech therapist. From what Ive been told today should be a good day for him. I ask that tomorrow you really send your thoughts and prayers to Derek. Tomorrow is the beginning of the invasive portion of his treatment. It will be a challenge for Derek, Jami, and Jeff. No child should have to go through this. I will try to update as new information comes available. I feel it is my duty to you all who are supporting us to keep you informed and updated. I have been contacted by so many people with so many great ideas and questions.
