Prayers for my Leni. We took her to the ER Sunday evening for a very high fever. They determined that she has a urinary tract infection, gave us medicine, told us to give her Tylenol and sent us home. Yesterday she was doing alright...about how you would expect a child recovering from an infection to act. A little lethargic with a little fever that could pretty much be managed with the Tylenol. Last night she woke up a few times (thanks to Ella) and was a bit more cranky and whiney than she would normally be, even with having been woken up by her sister...in fact I was surprised that Ella woke her up! This girl can sleep through practically anything it seems like. Today nothing seems to help. This morning was about like yesterday...fever kept under control with medicine, a bit less food entering, average interest in liquids, lots of cuddles (which I love but wish it was while she was feeling well!). We went to see the Dr since we were told that if she still had a fever after 48 hours go see the Dr. Well, not only did/does she still have a fever it isnt really going down after the Tylenol wears off. And this afternoon and evening it seems like the Tylenol isnt even affecting her fever. She has eaten very little today. Has had tons of mommy time (so much that my back and arms were hurting by the time I was able to put her down). We are at present waiting for some blood work to come back as well as a urine culture derived from a sample they collected from her Sunday evening. Baby girl is so hot that I have her laying in front of a fan to cool her off and she is covered in goose bumps. We cuddled in front of the A/C for as long as I could handle the cold air on me and she is still very hot. Please pray for healing and wisdom for the Dr. Please pray for strength for me. I love and thank you all. :(
