Precious presence Hebrews 10:19 (ERV) And so, brothers and sisters, we are completely free to enter the Most Holy Place. Meditation If you had served God during Old Testament times, you might not have liked it very much. One huge limitation was your access to the Lord during worship. There were places only the priests were allowed, such as the Holy of Holies. This place of His presence would’ve been closed to you because the blood of animal sacrifices could never completely cover your sin. Today’s verse, though, gives one of the many reasons why being a Christian today is so glorious! You’re “completely free” to enter into God’s precious presence because the perfect priest, Jesus Christ, has offered the only acceptable sacrifice—Himself—wiping away the consequences of your sin once and for all in His total forgiveness. Now ask yourself: “Do I take time to enter into His presence enough?” In this very busy world, it’s easy to take even Almighty God for granted. Yet your faith will grow in depth and boldness as you regularly enter in to the Most Holy Place of His presence in praise and worship. Exercise your freedom. Seek your magnificent God! Prayer Lord, I recognize anew the fact I can come to You and enjoy the reality of Your presence anytime I wish. Convict and compel me to come to You with all my heart. Amen.
