Jose Mourinho returns and Chelsea immideatley look rock solid. Back come the old pals act of John Terry and Frank Lampard and suddenly Chelsea look very strong again. Slightly surprised to see Torres given the nod up front and an even bigger one to see Mata on the bench. There has been rumour over the summer that Mourinho is not a fan of the playmaker so we will see how that transpires. The three pronged attacking trident behind Torres all played really well uptil about the hour mark but they all seem to run out of steam together. Oscar, De Bruyn and Hazard were very good 1st half though. No injuries or suspensions and a full squad to choose from. Aston Villa pulled off the result of the day in week 1 with a fully deserved 3-1 win at Arsenal. Villa ran at the suspect Arsenal defence time and time again with pace, power and guile. It was too much for Koscielny who lashed out on a couple of occasions and was rightly red carded. The man advantage shouldn’t take the shine of a fantastic Villa win. Christian Benteke was superb again and Agbonlahor looked very much like his old self. While Fabian Delph ran the show in the middle of the park with a display that belies his 23 years. Defence was a little suspect for Villa, but Brad Guzan gave another top notch performance. Charles N’Zogbia is injured, while Nathan Baker, Yacouba Sylla and Chris Herd all are rated doubtful. CHELSEA – ASTON VILLA: RUN OF PLAY Chelsea dominate this fixture as you would expect, it is a very goal heavy match up too. In the last six games there have been 4 Chelsea wins, 1 draw and 1 Aston Villa win. There have been 29 goals in these six game for a huge game average of 4.83. In the three games at Stamford Bridge Chelsea have won 8-0, drew 3-3 and lost 3-1. I am not too worried about Villa scoring as I do think Chelsea have the ability to score at any time. I take Chelsea to win. I think Chelsea have this game though and should be able to rack up some goals. The huge Chelsea squad can be rotated and the midfield and attack is quality which ever way you chop and change.
