Prediction of the outcome of the election to the national or State legislative body is am exercise which experts undertake known as Psephologists. Credibility of the prediction by Psephologist depends on several factors namely - what data collected, from where data collected, who interpreted the data. The accuracy of predictions made in the past is also important. Psephologists are known to overestimate by 20 to 25 percent in favour of a party which drives the share market. I dont say they are biased, but market interests do play a role. NDA may get around 273 is what our Psephologists have broadly predicted. While chances of NDA forming Government are very high, but equally chances of NDA falling short of 273 by about 60 seats are also high. Will wait for actual results. ... !!! I
