Preference: You meet his ex for the first time. Niall: You and your boyfriend, Niall, were sitting in a booth at Nando’s, grazing the menu options. It was quiet as both of you pondered different foods, when all of a sudden, you hear a femal Irish accent say “Hello, welcome to Nando’s. I’m Holly, and I will be your server tod—- Niall?!” You both look up from your menus and you see a girl standing there with her eyes big. “Oh hi, Holly! How’ve ya been?” he says with a friendly smile. “Uhh, good. You’ve been doing well, I see?” she answered, gesturing to the TV in the corner, now showing a one direction segment on the pop news channel. “Yeah, haha…” “So who’s this?” she asked, pointing slightly to you. “Oh Holly, meet (Y/N), my girlfriend. (Y/N), meet Holly, my ex…” he said, trailing off on the word ex. You smiled and shook her hand. Niall and Holly talked for a while, until you became a bit bored of being the third wheel in the conversation, and you lightly squeezed Niall’s thigh under the table. He got the message and dismissed Holly. “So that’s what meeting the ex is like.” you say with a smirk. “Yeah I guess so! It was a BILLION times worse when I met your ex though, (Y/N)…” he answered. You pretended to be offended and kicked him under the table. Louis: You were shopping with your boyfriend, Louis. You had just finished paying, and now you were on your way out of the store together. You were holding his hand, and walking out, when suddenly you felt him stop walking. You turn around and see him conversing with a familiar faced girl with wavy brunette hair. You figure out its Eleanor, Louis ex. He told you that their break up was mutual, so they decided to remain friends. She was actually a really nice girl and you and her and Louis talked at the entrance of the store for like an hour! You and El ended up making plans to go to lunch together the next day, because she was so friendly! As you walked away out of the store, Louis just rolled his eyes and said “Well, that went better than expected!” (as you can see, I ship Elounor) :3 Zayn: You and Zayn were at a movie premiere. You were walking slowly along the red carpet at Zayns side, when you felt him tug at your arm. “(Y/N), can we walk faster? Perrie’s over there…and i don’t want it to be awkward…” he whispered, pointing to your right. Little Mix was standing about ten feet away. “No way! I love Little Mix! Can we please go say hi?” you begged in a whisper. “(Y/N)…” he said back pouting. “Please? For me?” you ask, knowing that will win him over. “Fine.” he answered through gritted teeth. You cheered quietly, while you and Zayn nonchalently slowed your pace and the four girls caught up with you. You had to hide your inner fangirl as Jesy, Jade, and Leigh-Anne gave you hugs. Last came Perrie, who didnt even shake your hand. All she did was glare intensely at Zayn with a mad look. This made you angry, so when you and the girls were conversing, and Perrie started to say something, you just interrupted her. As the conversation ended and you walked away like a boss, Zayn whispered “I love it when youre angry, its hot!” with a smirk. (I have nothing against Perrie, i idolize her!) :) Liam: You were a dancer, and you were at a dancing workshop during the summer to work on some technique. You were sitting on the floor, stretching and waiting for the class to begin, when a girl walked in that you recognized, Danielle, your boyfriend Liam’s Ex. He had told you that the breakup was really rough, and they barely talked anymore. She recognized you too, and you cold tell, because she stiffened when you made eye contact. As the class went on, she kept stealing glances at you, which you just ignored. After the class ended and you were exiting, she tapped your shoulder, and politely said, “I just want to let you know, I support you and Liam together. I can tell you make him very happy.” with a small smile. You smiled back and nodded, happy it went that well. You ended up tweeting her that night and talking some more, then you and Danielle became very good friends. Harry: You and your boyfriend, Harry, were at a movie. After the movie ended, you saw a familiar head of dirty blonde hair standing near the exit of the theater. You nudged Harry’s arm, and whispered, “Haz, is that who I think it is?” pointing to the head. He followed your finger, and chuckled. “Yep, that’s Caroline. Just duck your head and act like you don’t notice her.” he whispered back. You complied, and just when you were about to exit, you heard a female voice say “Harry? Is that you?” you and Harry sighed in unison and turned to face Caroline. “Yep, its me…” He answered with a sigh. He conversed with her for a while, mostly her going on and on about irrelevant things. She finally noticed you, and asked, “Oh, who’s this?” with her eyebrows furrowed. Harry smiled proudly and said “Oh, this is (Y/N), my girlfriend.” emphasizing girlfriend. She drew in a deep breath and shook your hand with fake enthusiasm. Harry said an abrupt goodbye after that, wanting to get away from another monologue conversation with her. You laughed as you and him walked away hand in hand, glad that the situation was over pretty quick.
