Presenting the teaser of TOKRI !! An in house film that is extremely close and dear to the heart of the Eeksaurus team. In Suresh Eriyats words: I have been thinking of making a film with clay animation medium since a long time. I needed a story and I found it in the most unexpected of places. Early in 2008, I was driving to Famous Studios Mahalaxmi (my office then) from my home (Pali Hill), when at the Mahim signal, a little girl happened to knock on my car window. She had these baskets made of reed and she was trying to sell a couple of them to me. Irritated with the traffic jam, I shooed her away, as anyone would do when an underprivileged kid pesters you into giving money or buying something that you don’t want. But during the entire way to my office I realised how unkind I was to her. There was no need for me to extend my irritability to her and this act of mine weighed on me heavily. My guilt then triggered the inception of this story, which I hope will make people feel and act more sensitively towards little kids and especially the underprivileged. This film’s production has been going on since 2009. It is the first clay animation film of this kind from India, and I am extremely proud to be part of it. We hope you enjoy watching the teaser!
