President John Dramani Mahama writes,We have had to approve strong but unpleasant measures to increase revenue and reduce expenditures. While these measures have been a bitter pill, the alternative of doing nothing would have caused an economic meltdown and even more suffering for our people. As a people we have had to make sacrifices and I wish to assure you all that the results would begin to show very soon. As I said on May Day, ‘the darkest hour is before the break of a new dawn’.
