President Obama took time off this week from Fund Raising and Golf to hold a News Conference regarding events in Syria and Iraq. The President admitted that he had under-estimated the danger from ISIS in the region and that his security and intelligence team had been taken by surprise by how quickly they had become a serious threat to the entire middle east. When asked whether he had come up with a definite strategy for dealing with the threat, the President responded that his team was still working on that issue but that he was sure that the air strikes which he had recently authorized would turn the tide and that there would be no need for American boots on the ground. Another reported asked what the President planned to do with his time once the elections were over and it was too cold to play Golf ? The President noted that while Winter was coming soon, it would be Summer in the Southern Hemisphere and there were many vital issues which needed to be addressed with Leaders in Southern Africa. With that, the President thanked the reporters for their time and attention and left the podium. .
