President Pakistan Psychological Association Fellow - TopicsExpress

President Pakistan Psychological Association Fellow Psychologists, Psychology students, And all those to whom this concerns Educar Psych Services was founded to ensure that psychology graduates and professionals have access to opportunities for training. We categorically state that we have never claimed to issue licenses, degrees or diplomas. The participants of every program will however receive a certificate stating that they have completed so many hours of training, just as it is done at the end of every workshop, or training course. There were many reasons that led to the creation of EPS but most importantly the state of affairs prevailing in psychology programs forced us to take action. Increasingly, the directorship of clinical psychology programs has gone to people who are neither clinically qualified nor have had anything to do with psychotherapy throughout their academic careers. The Chairperson of Applied Psychology at PU who had no hesitation in assuming the charge of Director of Clinical Psychology Center, should not be lecturing us on ethics. The Director of Clinical Psychology Program at GCU also has no clinical qualification. Their appointments are based on sycophancy, corruption and malpractice in government institutions of higher education and have totally derailed the existing clinical programs. The quality of clinical programs has suffered under their misguided leadership and continues to do so. The removal of Dr Zahid Mahmood, an eminent British Psychologist and former President of PACP from GCU Clinical Psychology Unit and appointment of a plagiarist in his place is clear evidence of such malpractice. It should be noted that Dr Zahid Mahmood founded the program and trained over a hundred clinical psychologists while at GCU. What is ironic is that these products of immoral and unethical practices have the nerve to challenge our integrity. Dr. Nashi Khan’s assertion that TCL UK does not exist, is also unfounded. We have advertised in the material disseminated on the internet that TCL UK is a new private company devoted to replacing ECT with more humane treatments (See attached). Perhaps Dr. Nashi Khan, in her zeal to support her boss, has forgotten that as Past President of PACP, Dr. Asir Ajmal is also a member of the PACP executive committee who has never been invited to a single meeting. We would like to assert that this effort by the Applied Psychology Chairwoman and President of PACP to undermine our sincere endeavor and start a smear campaign against Dr. Asir Ajmal is not based on any sincere desire to protect psychology. Had it been the case, they should have written to me directly. I have been the President of PACP before Dr. Nashi Khan and was unanimously elected to the post. She should have had the courtesy to call me or write to me before going on this campaign of slander and witch hunt. I must say I did not even expect this courtesy of Dr Rukhsana Kausar, because she is known for her lack of scruples and integrity. As an example of her lack of professionalism, she issued five acceptance letters for JBS to her favorite friend at GCU so that she could be selected as Associate Professor. It is also ironic that these individuals have never cooperated with PPA since it was founded by my late father Dr. Muhammad Ajmal. If now the PPA has been asked by me to support this new venture, they have gone running to the very same PPA. It is also ironic that President of PACP, again founded by the late Dr Ajmal, has now spoken out against his very own son’s effort to liberate psychology from plagiarists and sycophants. History will indeed judge and decide who was right. But for now, the choice is in your hands. Choose wisely.
