President met with Donetsk cyborgs President Petro Poroshenko has met with servicemen, who defend the airport in Donetsk, and volunteers, who help provide them with everything necessary. Addressing cyborgs, the Head of State noted that terrorists would reach Lviv if the airport was surrendered to the enemy. I am confident that we are defending the entire Ukraine there: if we surrender Donetsk, the enemy will be in Boryspil, Hostomel or Lviv, Petro Poroshenko emphasized. According to the President, defenders of the airport in Donetsk will remain in the history textbooks of Ukraine. The words cyborg, ukrop have become symbols of the Ukrainian spirits invincibility and combat capability. Future generations of the Ukrainian warriors will be raised at such examples, the Head of State noted. Petro Poroshenko emphasized that the doll he had received from the Donetsk cyborgs was extremely important for him. It has become a tradition: I come to work, take the doll and think what I must do today to protect the country, the President told. The Head of State stressed 6 Ukrainian servicemen had been killed in the battles for freedom, independence and sovereignty of Ukraine the previous night. The participants of the event honored the memory of the fallen warriors with a moment of silence. Petro Poroshenko mentioned special role of volunteers in the maintenance of the army. According to him, more than 80% of Ukrainians provided assistance to the Armed Forces. The President considers it efficient to involve volunteers in the maintenance of the army within the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces. Chief of the General Staff Viktor Muzhenko emphasized that despite problems with maintenance, the combat capability of the army was growing. Donetsk airport is a true symbol of courage, warrior spirit, high moral stability and combat capability of our servicemen, he said.
