Press Release CVL TO INTERROGATE THE CHALLENGE OF FINANCIAL SERVICE VENTURES IN NIGERIA’S ECONOMIC PERFORMANCE As Part of its values rebirth project aimed at showcasing specific values that could be emulated by younger Nigerians to advance the Common Good the Centre for Values in Leadership will on Wednesday 28 May at the CVL Centre in Victoria Island, Lagos host a Colloquium on the genesis of entrepreneurship in the financial services sector. The Colloquium panel which includes GTBank founding Ceo Fola Adeola, current Diamond Bank Group Managing Director Alex Ottih and Lagos Chamber of Commerce Director General Muda Yusuf. Other Panelists include Canada based Economist and former Banker Fred Olaleye and management consultant Eileen Sheyan who spent a good part of her career in banking and Prof. Doyin Soyibo do the honors. This CVL (Leader Without Title) Tribute series LWT honors Otunba Michael Subomi Balogun’s Pioneering role in indigenous venturing into financial services. The panel discussion which will be moderated by CVL founder Prof. Pat Utomi will explore the theme from Tom Forrests book The Advance of Africa. Capital and cover areas of policy, capacity, and values that sustain the enterprise spirit. The Balogun tribute Colloquium is the eleventh in a series that has discussed democratizing healthcare in honor of Prof. Oyinda Elebute, Integrity in leadership and corporate governance in tribute to Felix Ohiwerei “reinventing the Civil Service” in tribute to Ahmed Joda and Philip Asiodu and foreign policy in tribute to Emeka Anyaoku. The goal of the CVL is to use the series to identify specific values in the life of those around whom each Colloquium have been erected.
