Press Release Former Joplin City Council Member and Current Charter Review Commissioner, Launches Facebook Group Page for Joplin Voters to Provide Feedback / Input FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE October 15, 2013 (Joplin, MO) - Former Joplin City Council Member Doug Hunt and current member of the newly appointed 2013 Charter Review Commission, has launched a Facebook Group Page for Joplin registered voters. The Facebook page will provide another venue for Joplin voters to post comments and feedback for Mr. Hunt to collect and consider during the Charter Review process. Public involvement in this Charter Review is very important and is the reason I launched this Facebook platform to get as much input from Joplin voters as I can in this process. It will also be a big help in promoting the upcoming public hearings that will be held at City Hall. We have serious issues facing our town and we owe it to the 161 people lost in the tornado to be the best we can be as a city on all levels. They and their families deserve that, said Doug Hunt. The Facebook page is now operational and Joplin registered voters may be added by sending a private message to the page and showing proof of voter registration with a photo of their Voter ID Card. All information will remain private and will be deleted once the Charter Review Commission makes its final recommendation to the City Council. The public (everyone) will be able to view and follow the page, but only Group Members approved as registered Joplin voters, will be allowed to post and comment. The page can be found on Facebook by going to this link:
