Press Release: Presentation of Credentials of the Ambassador of Brazil to Samoa His Excellency Mr. Eduardo Gradilone, the new Ambassador of Brazil to Samoa presented his Letters of Credence to His Highness Tui Atua Tupua Tamasese Efi this morning at the Head of State’s residence at Tuaefu. Whilst in Apia, H.E. Mr. Eduardo Gradilone will be paying a courtesy call on the Deputy Prime Minister (also Acting Prime Minister), other members of Cabinet as well as members of the Diplomatic Corps. H.E. Mr. Eduardo Gradilone is the first ever accredited Ambassador of Brazil to Samoa since Brazil and Samoa established diplomatic relations in 2005. He holds a Master’s degree (MA) in Constitutional Law from the University of Sao Paulo as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Law and Journalism. Before joining the Brazilian Foreign Service, H.E. Mr. Eduardo Gradilone worked as an associate lawyer in a law firm in the private sector and was a partner and director of the advertising company Artipadu in 1973. As a career diplomat, H.E. Mr. Eduardo Gradilone has served in the Brazilian Foreign Service for over 30 years holding various diplomatic postings including to Brazilian diplomatic missions in Washington D.C. as Second Secretary; London as a Counselor; and Tokyo and the Holy See as a Minister-Counselor. He is at present the Ambassador of Brazil to New Zealand as well as the Undersecretary for Expatriate Brazilian Communities Abroad. H.E.
